website of the network subcentre of the Chinese System for
Fundamental Geographical Informationsharing subordinated to
Global Systems for Sustainable Development mainly contains
an introduction to national systems for geographical information,
criterion standardization, space databases, products and services,
data downloading and other items. At present, the website
is the exclusive provider of a nationwide scope for downloading
of basic geo-information data with space vectors. It is the
most authoritative site with detailed contents, full and complete
functions such as searching and browsing. The information

platforms of various formats at a scale of 1:4,000,000. The
data on national or provincial boundaries need to be examined
and approved by the Map Verifying Office of the State Bureau
